Afghanistan – Taliban Deprives 18 Million Women of Their Rights

Calling Afghan women and international society, Women’s rights activist, Mahbobba Seraj, has warned women in Afghanistan of losing their rights after Taliban has abolished the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Seraj indicated that: “More than 18 million women in the country can be deprived of work and freedom of speech. Human rights activist explained that “, Taliban movement has been attacking women for decades, and this method is evident after Taliban plucked the Ministry of Women Affairs building signboard, and replaced it with a sign saying: (Ministry of Promoting Virtue and Forbidding Evil). Until this moment, Taliban did not allow most women to return to work; new dress codes were imposed on women in universities, besides to an outright disregard for women presence within the government that was announced two weeks ago.
