Syria – Assyrians mark the first annual “Marduthu” culture festival
The Syriac Cultural Association marked the first annual Marduthu festival in northern and eastern Syria. This festival, according to the organizers, is the first ceremony for Syriac culture and art after a long period of negligence, it lasted for three consecutive days and featured Syriac folkloric dance and traditional songs, introducing the Syriac folklore dress, in addition to an exhibition of folkloric items and poetry recitation in the original Syriac language spoken by the Syriacs.
