The official spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, stated that the two attacks that took place in Kirkuk and Nineveh governorates were due to the inaction and security negligence of some forces, and there will be a response from the military units in the areas that were attacked, and targeting the nests of the organization, which takes the difficult geographical nature in the Kirkuk governorate as its hideout. Rasoul emphasized that the combat missions of the coalition forces will not remain in Iraq by the end of this year, rather its presence will be limited to advisory, logistical, and intelligence support, and air coverage, according to coordination with the Iraqi government and senior military leaders.
