Palestine – Gaza Women Produce Natural Herbs Cosmetics

The Rural Women Development Society in Gaza Strip has launched a product line of Herbal-based cosmetics, merely using more than 15 strains of Natural plants such as (Nettles, Peppermint, Parsley, Rocca, and Roses.. etc) which is grown in a town north Gaza (Beit Lahia).

The project consists of around 40 women broken into two groups, one group is at the fields growing the needed plants while the other group is working in a small cosmetics factory launched recently, which created decent job opportunities for the farmers and their families by hiring them and buying their herbs yield, the thing that provides a good income during the difficult economic situations inside Gaza strip.

The product became very received by locals where it’s officially on pharmacies shelves, and on a high demand outside Gaza with a limited ability to export due to the crossing border lock.
