Syria – Literary Council for the Advancement of Literature and Writers to Establish in Qamishli

The Literature Committee in North and East Syria conducted its first founding conference in Qamishli, entitled “Literature, Life, Existence, and Resistance”. This conference follows several years of effort by this committee, and due to the lack of coordination among the cultural federations in the region, this council collects all intellectuals, writers, and others interested in literary matters. Committees and organizations, according to intellectuals, have a significant influence on activating the role of the intellectual in dealing with the tragedies and pains of society as well as addressing issues that affect his life to find solutions to them.
