Palestine – Women make dolls and toys for children in Gaza

Women, in Umm al-Nasr town, Gaza, work in an educational toys and dolls factory. The factory, which is the first of its kind, employs 15 women working in designing and sewing, and products are promoted through social media platforms and local exhibitions. The factory is the main source of livelihood for female workers amid the grim economic conditions; one of the workers states that they face challenges due to the continuous closure of the crossings, and the inability to export products, which negatively affected their daily income.
