On Monday, Tunisians protested on Habib Bourguiba Street in the Tunisian capital, amid a security and military presence, against the recent decisions of the President of the Republic activating Article 80 of the Constitution. The protestors called on preserving the gains of the Tunisian revolution and legitimacy, and that no party be held responsible for the deteriorating conditions in the country. The Tunisian President, Kais Saied, had taken several decisions, foremost of which was freezing the work of Parliament, lifting the immunity of deputies based on Article 80 of the Constitution, and relieving Prime Minister, Hisham Al-Mashishi, from his position.
