 Sweets and pastries shops are witnessing extensive preparations to receive customers before and during the days of Eid al-Adha, the most famous of which are the Baghdadi kleija, cakes, maamoul, baklava, Qatayef, Parma and foreign types of cake and chocolate under different names. Merchants says there’s many reasons for this stagnation, and it came after the holiday that the government gave for a period of ten days before and after Eid Al-Adha, which prompted families to travel to the Kurdistan region or outside Iraq, in addition to the fear of some of being in shops due to the new Corona virus, as well as the high exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar, which was reflected on the High product prices.
