The deputy and a member of the Strong Republic bloc, Antoine Habashi, stated that Lebanon is going in an alarming situation following a rise in fuel prices and the continued smuggling of fuel illegally to Syria. The researcher in monetary and financial sciences, Layal Mansour, stated that the country is going through unprecedented chaos, especially after the politicians failed to manage the country’s matters, pointing out that the government has two options, either floating the lira or abandoning the local currency permanently.
