Palestine – Like Hiroshima, People of northern Gaza about to face environmental disaster

The shelling of the Israeli army on warehouses and stores of fertilizers and agricultural and chemical pesticides during the recent war on Gaza caused the combustion of these materials, which are very dangerous to the environment, groundwater, and residents of the area, and they began to show signs and symptoms of these pesticides and smells. The Director-General of the General Administration of Plant Protection and Agricultural Quarantine, Adham El-Basiouni, pointed out that this disaster will result in cancerous diseases in the future; meanwhile, the owners of the warehouses called on international and human rights organizations specialized in the global environment to intervene to eliminate this danger.
