Iraq: Despite His Low Sales, Sulaymaniyah’s Street Maestro Remains in his Job
In the ancient city of Sulaymaniyah, Ibrahim Saeed, most known as the maestro, is a street vendor who showcases his CD collections of thousands of Arab songs laid out on sheets on the street. He enjoys playing these CDs so to entertain and draw a smile on the faces of passersby. Ibrahim pointed out that with technological development that swept the world, his sales are way lower than before. However, his passion and appreciation for old songs and his endeavor to spread joy motivated him on resuming his job from which he makes his living
