Syria – The notables of northern and eastern Syria issue a statement regarding the events in Manbij

The Senate in North and East Syria stated the public opinion, on Thursday, about the recent events in Manbij, northern Syria against the protests held by the people of the city, rejecting the decisions of the Autonomous Administration to force conscription and attract the youth to it, as well as the lack of fuel and high prices. The Senate believes that the supporters of the Syrian regime and the opposition are fueling such protests to disrupt the peace and security in the region following the ISIS defeat. The notables of the clans urged the people of Manbij and from other cities not to be pulled into the conflict that the enemies of the Autonomous Administration in north and east Syria creating. The protests resulted in the killing and injuring of civilians due to the clashes between the people and the security forces, while the people tried to control the centers and institutions of the Autonomous Administration and to control the city’s checkpoints.
