Iraq – Poor imported goods invade the markets of Baghdad

Poor quality imported goods are widely available in Baghdad’s marketplaces with a clear absence of local products, which affected the Iraqi factories. Officials in the Baghdad Chamber of Commerce believe that the opening of the borders since 2003 has been random with neighboring countries, and the absence of oversight on Imports led to flooding the country with inferior goods, which turned it from a producer to a consumer.
