Iraq – Despite being classified as a terrorist organization globally, “Kurdish Workers” participate in the Iraqi elections

Political observers and members of electoral bodies have condemned the standing of members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), which is listed as a terrorist organization, for the upcoming parliamentary elections that are supposed to be held on October 10. Experts in Iraqi political matter see that the registration of the party, backed by the pro-Iranian Popular Mobilization Forces, to the Electoral Commission is a legal and constitutional breach.
