The statements of the Lebanese Foreign Minister, Charbel Wahiba, which are controversial towards Saudi Arabia, met a wave of great anger and resentment, which led to a demand for his resignation. Al-Gohary called on the government to consolidate relations with the Gulf states and their real partners, issue a decree to dismiss a “Wahiba” from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and accept his resignation, in addition to working on the independence of the political decision in Lebanon that is subject to partisan dictates and foreign pressures from countries in the region such as Iran, it is mentioned that the Minister of Foreign Affairs Charbel decided to deliver a paper letter requesting to be relieved of his ministerial responsibilities on Wednesday to Lebanese President “Michel Aoun”, after his statements about the Gulf states.
