Mongolia- Ulaanbaatar residents call to save Selbe and Dund rivers
Ulaanbaatar is one of the six cities in the world with a central river which adds natural beauty that is not always available in large cities. However, as it approaches the city center through the Selbe and Dund main ger districts, which run through Ulaanbaatar, it loses its natural color and continues to be littered with garbage. These rivers are polluted not only due to human activities but also due to the mismanagement of housing and office construction companies along the river banks and dams. City residents have called to save the river through social media to increase citizen participation, establish a monitoring system, and draw a plan that includes preserving, protecting, and recovering the original appearance of the capital, Ulaanbaatar, as well as coordinating the scene of the river
