Germany fights ISIS and coordinates among allies
Kurdistan region president Masoud Barzani met with the German minister of Foreign affairs Frank Walter to discuss matters relating to the assistance of the German forces and Kurdish Peshmerga in its fight against the terrorist ISIS.
Kurdistan region president Masoud Barzani met with the German minister of Foreign affairs Frank Walter Tuesday morning in Erbil to discuss matters of the German military assistance to the region Peshmerga forces during a press conference at Saladin resort where president Barzani welcomed the German minister of foreign affairs Frank Walter by saying “Frank Walter visited Kurdistan in previous crisis time” in addition to valuing the German support of the Peshmerga forces in the fight against the terrorist organization ISIS.
Barzani added that if the forces aim to fight ISIS they are welcome but if they have other purposes then Baghdad and Ankara need to solve it through a dialogue and he assured that Kurdistan is not a part of this mater and the case took more than it deserves since Kurdistan region is trying to be a solving factor to the problem between Ankara and Baghdad and he noted that his visit to Turkey tomorrow aim to coordinate efforts to fight against terrorist ISIS.
On the other hand, German Minister of Foreign affairs Frank Walter said that Russia and Baghdad need to solve the rocket crossing issue through Kurdistan skies and he added that ISIS lost a quarter of controlled lands which now needs protection and reconstruction.
He also added that his country will continue to support Kurdish Peshmerga forces in their war against terrorism with coordination of Iraqi government.
