Syria – Clashes between the Asayish forces and the Syrian government’s National Defense Forces to continue

Clashes continue in the al-Tay neighborhood, southern Qamishli, between the Internal Security Forces, “Asayish”, backed by the anti-terrorism forces, on one side, and the National Defense Forces of the Syrian government forces, on the other side. After refusing Russian mediation, the Kurdish forces besieging the neighborhood brought in armored military vehicles to enter the neighborhood. It is reported that the Kurdish forces are demanding the handover of the national defense personnel who killed the leader of the Asayish, as well as granting control over the areas it has advanced to within the neighborhood, which is opposed by the Syrian government’s National Defense Forces.
