Lebanon – Outrage in Lebanon due to Hezbollah’s introduction of unidentified Iranian medicines

Lebanese doctors and lawyers called on the prosecution of Hezbollah before the Lebanese judiciary for they have facilitated the entry of Iranian-made medicines that are alternative to “Bio similar”, breaching the standards of the World Health Organization, and the approved legal and administrative rules and procedures for registering medicines and medical preparations used in Lebanon. The lawyer, Shawkat Houla, pointed out that the drugs that entered the country were not tested in reference laboratories like other medicines, while also warning that they could cause death and negative complications, as well as risking the national health system due to the absence of sufficient scientific information about the quality and safety of these medicines.
