The silent café or “banner café, which was launched 10 years ago, is a well-known cafe in Duhok, whose visitors are mostly deaf and hard of hearing people. Omar Ahmad, the owner of the café, illustrated that at least 35 deaf people visit the café on a daily base to enjoy their time, adding that they communicate through sign language.
