Cambodia – The harshness of life derives factory workers to transport to their workplaces indifferent to social distancing

Amid the risk of Coronavirus outbreak among them, workers in garment factories in Bugshan district, Kandal province continue going to their work by unsafe transportation, indifferent to the rules of social distancing that the Ministry of Health announced to prevent the spread of the virus. More than 20 workers accumulate in a mini truck to transport them to their factory. Some of the factory workers stated that although they adhere to preventive measures during their way and entry to the factory, they are concerned about getting infected with the Coronavirus, however, they need to work to earn a living for themselves and their families.
