Mongolia- “Magic Land” to protect and educate children affected by domestic violence
In 2017, a group of young people have founded a volunteer group called “Lantuun Dohio”, to protect, educate and stop child abuse and provide them with equal opportunities for children especially those living in Ger areas, which make up roughly 60% of the Mongolian capital, Ulaanbaatar, and where poverty, alcoholism, and domestic violence spread among its residents. The group recently initiated a fundraising campaign and was able to establish two centers; “Magic Land” 1 and 2, to entertain and protect children in the Songinokhairkhan and Bayanzurkh districts of Ulaanbaatar.
