Iraq: Sun Girls, Womens Battalion to take revenge from ISIS

“Sun Girls” is an all female Yazidi battalion which was founded in 2015 by women who were held captives and tortured by ISIS when they controlled their areas in Sinjar and its surroundings in Western Mosul where Yazidis resided. There are 142 women in the force seeking revenge from ISIS elements who practiced all forms of intimidation and enslavement on women of the regions where minorities lived and this Womens Battalion works under the wing of Peshmerga Ministry of Kurdistan Regional Government in Iraq
