Iraq :Polygamy banned in Kurdistan without the first wife’s consent

The Kurdistan Parliament in Iraq amended the Personal Status law of 2008 preventing men from marrying more than one woman, however, a man is allowed to marry more than one, on the condition a judge and the first wife have no issue with allowing a man practice what he sees as his right, and that is to have more than one woman in his life. It is worth mentioning, women don’t get that option. This is seen as a problem by men, they solve this seemingly big issue, by traveling outside of the perimeters of Kurdistan to legally have more women.
