Yemen – Women vigil demanding their participation in the government
Taiz – Yemen 22/12/2020
Today, Tuesday, Yemeni women began a vigil in Taiz, southern Yemen, denouncing not including them within a power-sharing government between President Hadi and the Transitional Council following the terms of the Riyadh Agreement. The protestors condemned their absence 20 years of their participation in the government. They demanded the adoption of the UN Resolution 1325 agenda, which grants women security as women in Taiz are displaced and under Houthi’s shelling.
