Iraq – The Iraqis’ views towards the upcoming parliamentary elections fluctuate between optimism and pessimism
Baghdad – Iraq 12/12/2020
With optimism and pessimism, frustration and determination, the Iraqi people suffer a big problem. The educated are aware of the importance of the electoral while others are not and can be influenced by buying their votes indirectly. Most of the people are affected by the religious, ideological, and sectarian discourse as well. The intensity of the conflict between political Islam and civil currents has become at its height, especially that the Islamic religious-political currents feel the danger of competition after the October demonstrations and the resentment they left against the political system that is generally dominated by Islamic parties and forces.
