Iraq- Jurists: Cybercrime law will Repress the Iraqi Press

Widespread concerns swept Iraqi journalists and press, fearing the parliament would pass the cybercrime law that will repress the freedom of press and speech. The law would give the authority a free rein to silence and charge the journalists. Experts indicated that the law not only represses the freedom of speech but also is in the ruling class’s favor. The law prohibits using pseudonyms along with other restrictions related to publishing on social media networks
