Iraq: Iraqi Judiciary Nullifies the Renewal of Mobile Phone Companies’ Work Permits

The Iraqi Judiciary issued a ruling that nullifies the renewal of mobile phone companies’ permits. The Iraqi government had previously renewed their permits for 5 years provided that they pay 50% of accumulated debts to the government. However, back then, the decision was opposed by the parliament. Governmental resources indicated that these phone companies owe debt worth Billion dollar.
