Experts stated that Iran is a powerful state and it is not easy to destabilize it or to overturn its regime. This has been proven through its everlasting resistance in light of the economic sanctions. However, domestic demonstrations and people’s revulsion against Iranian policies may undermine its power. The decline in oil production was due to the economic sanctions that deterred international companies from buying Iranian oil.
