Iraq – Washington Decreases Grace Period For Allowing Iraq To Import Energy From Iran.

The United States of America extended an additional two months to the exemption granted to Iraq from the sanctions imposed on Iran in the energy field. This allows Iraq to continue importing gas and electricity from Iran. Since the United States of America imposed its sanctions on Iran at the end of 2018, the US administration has continued to grant Iraq an exemption after another, in order to agree with other energy suppliers to Iraq.
