Yemen – Exchange Houses in Aden To Close Due to Continued Local Currency Collapse

Most of the exchange houses and companies in the southern city of Aden closed on Tuesday morning, following the continued collapse of the local currency in front of foreign currencies. This came after a circular issued by Currency Exchange Association of the city after midnight, which included directives to close exchange shops until the exchange rate stabilizes. The exchange rate of the dollar rose to 860 Yemeni riyals.
