Iraq: Activists in solidarity with the Iranian political prisoner Kaboudvand.
Erbil- Iraq 10/6/2016 Dozens of civilians and Kurdish human rights activists organized a stand in the city of Erbil in northern Iraq in solidarity with the Kurdish political activist imprisoned in Iranian prisons Mohammed Kaboudvand who is on a hunger strike since May 8, 2016, in protest of the new charges against him by the Iranian authorities, which deteriorated his health condition and necessitated his transfer to the hospital for treatment.

Kurdish activists have pointed to the declined Iranian public freedoms in Iran and the increasing intimidation of political activists and jurists.
Mohammed Kaboudvand was arrested in June 2007 and convicted in a court and sentenced to 10 years in prison for committing acts against national security through the formation and management of defense of human rights organization, in addition to being convicted prison on charges of propaganda against the government over the link and connection to international humanitarian organizations.
