Iraq: Iran to Intensify Efforts to Ramp up Trade Exchange with Iraq

The Iranian government is intensifying efforts to ramp up its trade exchange with Iraq, especially in light of the US sanctions that left Iran out of options. However, Iran is trying so hard to reach a trade exchange worth 20 billion dollars, despite imposed sanctions on a lot of its exports and restrictions on its transactions. On the other hand, Baghdad elevated its electricity production which ushers in a new era of self-sufficiency which means it won’t need Iran’s supply, especially after a decline in the demand following the summer season.
