Yemen- Protests in Taiz Persist Denouncing the Crippling Economic Crisis

Protests in Taez persist against the plummet in the currency value and the economic worsening status quo. Tens of citizens organized a sit-in at Al-Awadi Roundabout in Taiz Governorate, spurred by Taiz unions conglomerate, denouncing corruption and the systematic starvation. Unions conglomerate indicated that these protests aim at easing the citizen burden following the government’s inaction regarding the plummet in the currency value and the total neglect of the citizen’s grim conditions.
