Iraq- An explosion Targeting US Convoy Withdrawing from Taji Base

A US convoy withdrawing from Taji base was targeted by an explosion. The Security Media Cell clarified that an explosive device detonated in one of the vehicles affiliated to the companies contracting with the coalition forces near Al-Taji police station Earlier, the US-led coalition withdrew from Taji-base and handed it over to the Iraqi domestic army. It is worth mentioning that the base, 20 kilometres (12 miles) north of Baghdad, has been witnessing frequent strike attacks by pro-Iranian militias targeting US-led troops in recent months
