Iraq – The United States-led International Coalition Withdrew from Taji Military Base

The Combined Joint Operations Center in Iraq declared today that the United States-led international coalition withdrew from Taji military base, and handed it over to the Iraqi army. Major General Tahsin al Khafaji, a spokesman for the joint operations of the Iraqi army, said that the base was used for training the Iraqi security forces and for equipment. He also clarified that the rest of the bases will be handed over according to an agreed-upon timetable.
