Iraq – Press conference of Iraqi and Iranian foreign ministers in Baghdad

The Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, arrived today, Sunday, in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, on an official visit during which he will meet with the Iraqi President, Barham Salih, the Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, and the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, as the bilateral relations between the two countries will be discussed and issues of common concern, the war against ISIS and the Corona pandemic crisis, in addition to the electricity and commercial exchange files between the two countries, the Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, stressed in a press conference he held with his Iraqi counterpart in Baghdad, that Tehran’s relations will not be shaken with Iraq, describing them as deep and historical, he also added that there are many joint agreements that will be activated, for his part, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein stressed the importance of caring for common regional interests, non-interference in internal affairs and keeping the region away from international tensions, stressing that his country wants to establish balanced relations with all neighboring countries.
