Libya – African migrants living among piles of waste in Sabha

Dozens of African migrants live among piles of waste in the main landfill of the southern Libyan city of Sabha, where they can stay away from legal persecution and internal conflicts in the country, their homes are made of wood, plastic and fabrics destroyed by their owners, they work in collecting aluminium and copper from the landfill and sell them to the city’s waste recycling dealers.
