In conjunction with the national dialogue called by President Michel Aoun, hundreds of demonstrators gathered in Thursday on the presidential palace road in Baabda, east of Beirut, and in front of the Palais De Justice in the center of the capital to protest against the deteriorating economic conditions, the low exchange rate of the Lebanese lira and the corruption of government officials, calling for the elimination of corruption and the release of arrested activists, as they called on the international community to intervene to implement resolution 1559 on Lebanon, which requires the disarmament of the Iranian-backed Hezbollah and all groups and militias, holding Hezbollah and the current government responsible for the economic collapse that Lebanon is witnessing.
