Yemen – The Cisterns of Tawila save Aden from a flood disaster

The Cisterns of Tawila  in the Crater district of Aden province in southern Yemen have reduced the damage caused by the recent heavy rains in the city. According to specialists, these historic reservoirs, which have a unique engineering system, prevented the city from being hit by major floods, which would have killed dozens and destroyed hundreds of houses and completely demolish them.
