Iraq – Opening of one of the largest zoos in the Middle East

One of the largest zoos in the Middle East , and the largest in Iraq, was opened in Erbil province in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, it contains nearly 2000 different types of animals, and extends over an area of nearly half a million m2, the park also includes 5 towers for birds and pigeons, the second of its kind after the state of Egypt, and nine towers for nearly 48 thousand pairs of pigeons and different birds.
