Iraq – Popular Mobilization Leader: The decision of the religious authority to withdraw its forces from the popular mobilization forces has complicated the situation

The popular mobilization Forces leader, Karim Nouri, pointed out that the popular mobilization cannot be a tool in the hands of politicians today for electoral or polarizing purposes or even for political differences, as he explained that the decision of the religious authority in Iraq to withdraw its forces from the popular mobilization confused the situation, and that this withdrawal may shake the connection between the Marja’ and the mobilization, especially since the mobilization is the product of a religious fatwa, adding that the joining of the mobilization forces with the Iraqi armed forces will strengthen the formality of the popular mobilization forces who is concerned with civil peace, adding that its only role will be to defend Iraq, and it wouldn’t be possible for it to be employed in regional, local or international conflicts.
