Syria – 16 years after their uprising against the regime, Kurds still suffer from continued denial and intolerance against them

Kurds in northeastern Syria celebrated the 16th anniversary of their uprising against the Syrian regime, which began in 2004 and caused the death of 37 Kurds by Syrian security services in various Kurdish cities in northeastern Syria, in addition to the arrest of thousands of Kurdish youth by the Syrian regime in all cities and provinces, dozens of university students have been dismissed and many have been prosecuted, and the Kurds believe that the Syrian regime continues to pursue the same policy of denial and intolerance against the Kurds, especially after the people’s revolution in the Middle East that began in 2011.
