Amman- Jordan 10/03/2020
The head of the Amman Chamber of Commerce, Khalil Al Haj Tawfiq, expressed his concerns in the event of an economic crisis caused by the Corona virus and the resulting shortage of Chinese goods in the Jordanian markets, which called the chamber to form a crisis cell to secure alternatives from other countries, especially from the clothing and electrical sector, adding that the Chinese goods are available until three months. For his part, former Minister of Economic Affairs, Youssef Mansour confirmed, that the fear of Chinese products was in the early days of the crisis, but now it is known globally that this virus does not transmit through the materials, so the demand for them has resumed again, and a number of citizens denied that they had any concerns about Chinese products.
