Yemen- Jurists condemn Houthi sentences to execution of 35 parliamentarians

Jurists condemned the death sentence imposed on a number of parliamentarians by the Houthi Specialized Criminal Court, describing the ruling as unlawful and arbitrary.Among the jurists, the ruling that affected 35 parliamentarians, in addition to confiscating their money and property, came after their participation in a meeting held in Hadhramaut governorate, which had been called by the internationally recognized Yemeni President, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.It called on the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, to abolish death sentences imposed on parliamentarians, and to ensure that their families are not harassed.
