Iraq – Demonstrators: Allawi’s resignation came too late

The crisis of forming the government in Iraq has returned after the president in charge of forming the Iraqi government, Mohammed Tawfiq Allawi, apologized for its formation, due to political pressures and obstacles faced by political blocs in the parliament, the demonstrators of Tahrir Square stressed that no name will be allowed to be passed that is not popularly accepted and does not agree with the terms and specifications put forward by the sit-in squares of the candidate for this position, pointing out that the resignation of Allawi came late, the president of Iraq, Barham Saleh, announced today the start of consultations to choose an alternative candidate to form a government within a period of 15 days, within the scope of his constitutional responsibilities, on another note a number of demonstrators were injured during clashes in Sinak Square in central Baghdad.
