Iraq-Kurdish parties consider Allawi’s government as its predecessor

The Prime Minister-designate Mohammad Tawfiq Allawi is scheduled to visit the Kurdistan region of Iraq in the north of the country to discuss with the political leaders in Erbil about the shape of the new government and the mechanism for nominating ministers before presenting his ministerial portfolio to the parliament, according to two Kurdish parties, the formation of the new government from independents is beyond the realm of the fact that the members of the parliamentary blocs are affiliated with parties that want to serve their interests, they also indicated that what currently matters to the Kurds is the implementation of the constitution and the commitment of the new government to that if it has the confidence of Parliament and the execution of the agreements signed between the region and the previous governments.
