Iraq – Relative tranquility in central Baghdad and pessimism towards Allawi

Today a state of relative tranquility dominated Tahrir Square in the center of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, and yet the demonstrators for the fourth month in a row are still demanding the departure of the current political class complete, the return of the country’s looted wealth and the trial of those involved in the killing of demonstrators, pointing out that the prime minister in charge of forming the new government, Mohamed Allawi, will not be able to implement their demands because he is not independent and is among the political class that has lost the trust of the street.
