Iraq- Abdul Mahdi successor choice is a pending issue

The protesters repeatedly rejected the names proposed by the political blocs to succeed Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, who was overthrown in the beginning of November of last year, because he was unable to implement their demands of improving the living conditions and services, adhering to the condition that the next prime minister be from outside the political and partisan class, analysts believed that the building coalition is responsible for “obstructing” the new prime minister’s choice, since the names proposed by the largest bloc in the parliament are controversial and rejected by protesters, parliamentarians also affirmed that the Alliance stood by the mass demands.
