Iraq – Internal and external pressures forced Barham Saleh to reject PM candidates

Iraqi politicians pointed out that the reason why President Barham Saleh rejected candidates with partisan backgrounds and submitted his resignation to the parliament is the popular pressure and the attitude of political forces supporting the demands of the Iraqi street, in addition to external pressures by some countries, analysts attributed the reason for external pressures only because the demonstrators demanded from day one the departure of the entire political elite and Barham Saleh was very late to resign
